Spring Compressor Needed to put in OEM Shocks/Springs?
I am putting my OEM suspension back in on my 01 Integra. Do I need a spring compressor to put it back?
I was thinking that I can put the shock/spring in the car and jack up the arms to compress it while everything is on the car. Would that work? Or would everything need to be fully assembled before actually putting it on the car?
Thanks.

ill say its the lazy way but i admit i did this with my high mileage OEM springs, the only advice i can give you is have a friend hold it down with his weight while you get the center nut on. its really hard and can be dangerous by yourself
but if these are newer oem springs i recommend using the compressor.

i remmeber one time i was helping my friend install his new suspension and we needed to compress the rear springs a bit so that we can screw the top bolt on but he didnt rent the spring compressor. so what i did was lift his integra with a 2 ton jack and i put the spring under it and droped the car on it a bit and i just put 5 zip ties on it and raised the car. it workd fine, we put it in then cut the zip ties off after.
idunno if anyone else has ever done that, but thats what i call some good old fashion thinking
