emblem removal question

Default emblem removal question

i know this isnt the right forum but i didnt get any help in the paint and body forum. whats the easiest way to remove the emblems from a 92-95 civic? i thought it was just adhesive but i guess there's 2 pin holes i gotta pry it out of? does anyone have any helpful tips? thanks

You should just be able to get your fingernail under them and pull the plastic little sleeves out. But I would say leave them in or else water might get in between the hood skin and the skeleton and eventually cause rust.

im putting them back in but im taking them out to paint them, i just dont want to try and pry it off and "wrinkle" it. i read somewhere that you have to take your bumper off the front to take the front emblem off???

My old ones I could just carefully pry the "H" off and everything would be fine, get the left up a little, then the right side, and just work it till its all the way out.

They just pry off. I would hope you wouldn't leave them on and paint around them

haha that would be one of the funniest things id ever see. i wanna paint my emblems black to go with my rims and other black trim. i hate chrome color it doesnt belong on del sols

If you read the post there is no mention to painting the emblems, they just said they checked the paint and body forum for removing them. I work in a body shop so believe me I know a thing or two about painting, **** when I was 16 I knew it was a good idea to take the emblems off to paint them, then I turned 17 and realized that **** was gay
