ok so i have been having this problem since the day after xmas. i go to start the car and it starts up normal then just shuts off. wtf. so i start it up again and cuts back off. when i finally get it running and it stays running sometimes it will cut off when im at a stop. i noticed today that as soon as i let go of the key it cuts off. so i started it up and held it for a sec to see if it would still do it. as soon as i let off the key it cut off could this be my ignition cylinder is going out or would it be something else. i came up with three things it could be but dont know if any are the cause for this. ignition cylinder, main relay going out or, ecu(doubtful though on that one) any ideas what it could be??

 

If your main relay was going, it would cease to work. Are you getting any CEL's? You might have some kind of dizzy problem. But I would guess that you're probably right- it sounds like your ignition lock is taking a dump.

 

isnt throwing any cel codes. ill have to try out a new dizzy as well. my friend has his sitting right now cuz he his rebuilding his gar for spray so ill try that out.
