Ignition Start Problem
I tried looking in all the articles and did a search but nothing quite seemed to describe my problem. Basically, there are three positions for the key to turn in the ignition cylinder: 0, 1 (all dash lights on), 2 (to start the car). I have no problems starting my car so I know it's not the starter, I have power to all systems so I know the battery is not dead but after I start the car (position 2 -> 1) the car dies completely.
The ignition cylinder is fine but for some reason, the key will return to the "resting" position (position 1 - when the car is normally running after starting) but quit as soon as it's in position 1.
I think the ignition harness or wiring loom connecting to the key cylinder has some dead leads or something because there is a "sweet spot" where I have power. Last night, I left the key in this position and pop the clutch to get the car going - no problems after that and the car ran fine.
I'm sorry if this doesn't make any sense but it's the best I can explain it. Any thoughts?

ignition switch.....which is a multifunction switch that transfers the power immediately after turning the key in your cylinder.....one of the contacts probably is shitty or corroded
