I just swapped a JDM D16A, seems like the Y5. The JDM engine was auto (CVT?), so the IACV was the three-wire type and was located on the TB vs. the back of the mani.
The Y5 TB was somewhat corroded, and the IACV was frozen. I used my Y7 TB, but used the Y5 butterfly and the spring – which seemed beeffier (check the mechanics of the spring). I'm sure the openings are the same, gaskets similar.
Worked like a champ.
Now if I can just tune the thing…
