Default turbo s2k project finished

i have been working on my friends s2k recently and i thought i would share the results with you guys...it all started when a local shop convinced my naive friend that he could turbo his s2k with zero tuning or injector upgrades other then a missing link and an fmu...needless to say he destroyed his motor...i rebuilt his engine with the help of a few great companies and he is very very happy with the outcome...the setup is as follows
ENGINE:
-golden eagle sleeves(stock bore)
-pauter rods
-custom arias pistons(10.0:1)
-acl bearings
-rebuilt head with a 5 angle valve job
-supertech springs and retainers

TURBO:
-ebay cast iron log manifold
-3076r
-tial gate
-custom intercooler(garret core)
-3 inch charge piping
-3 inch turbo back custom exhaust

TUNING:
-aem ems
-1000cc injectors
-3 bar map
-walbro 255lph hp

this car is very fun to drive on the street..it spools fast and makes great power
tuned at about 14 lbs on this pull before being pulled back a little to 12-14lbs so it ended up with 475-480 ish on the final tune..he did dyno this car on this dyno when it was na and it made 177whp(the rpm scale is off because they had a problem finding a good source to hook up to)

some pics i took in the process,i got lazy and stopped taking them after a while though lol

here is a pic of the full-race built s2k..they designed their s2k kit using that car

<--camera man

I've seen alot of turbo hondas on this specific dyno and I was shocked at the ease at which this car made the power. we're barely scratching the surface of what this motor has potentially. Just wish he had the fuel system to go further.

Kinda high for 14psi IMO

my last s2k i tuned was a built motor gt4088R and it was 515@21 psi on pump gas.

Ive tuned quite a few and that is either the most efficient motor i have ever seen, or that dyno was in "shoot out" mode.

you might wanna ask if it was

Doubt it. The first things are the rear end and axles.

The yellow S2k is also running under 9:1 compression vs. 10:1 on the black one.

Also, i believe the muffler he has is an Aero Turbine muffler.

9:1 vs 10:1 aint gonna be much difference my bud, maybe a few ft/lbs in tq. but the s2k before that i did, had a 35R on it and on the 1 BAR map sensor(stock) we made 379@12psi on AEM(Mainstream performance got 362@13psi before i tuned it)

I just really think something is up. Im not trying to go starting a pissing contest with anyone but it does seem a bit high. i mean look at the full-race car you talked about.

anyways, good luck with the car they are very fun to drive with HP

so far on our s2k KILL LIST we have, 3 trannys and 2 rear ends. all the s2ks either have the inline pro z32 conversions in em, and rebuilt trannys, i snapped a tailshaft section almost completely off in a 3rd to 4th powershift

I dont think anything is up, I made 424 at the rear wheels on a dynojet 255 @ 9 psi on my s2000 with the full race setup and a gt3076r .82
