Default Recently switched to SST27SF512 chips....problem with willem burner...help me out

I have been using UV erasable chips for some time, but decided to switch to these SST chips. I am getting a solid cel, so I'm having an issue programming them. The burner loads the bin and verifies it, but still getting cel. I read from the chip, then load the proggy into crome and it opens fine, so it would seem the program is getting on the chip right.

Well, I did some searching, because I suspected the burner is the issue. To erase I change the jumpers in an L shape like is printed on the board, then move them back to the configuration shown on the willem program screen to burn. I found on PGMFI that I need to set the hex offset to 8000....something I haven't done.

Is this the only thing I need to do to get this to work properly? I've got two builds finished and I can't get the cars back to them because of these chips...lol.

If anyone can pop up some pics of the jumper setup in erase and burn mode...that's be awesome. PGMFI's wiki had the pics, but that portion of the wiki hasn't been restored.

erease it well first by the three black bottoms in the burner the 1st left side one is for restart when you erease the chip, remove the jumper beside it then u will have a right next black bottom press on it to set the voltage to 15V,and the last one on the right hand side set the light on W27C, then choose the chip type it will be Winbond then W27X512,,press erease in the willem program it will ask you to set the jumpers and the key and then u already made them by what i've said above, then press ok,it will wait you to press the first left restart bottom in the burner board,it will start ereasing, then set offset down right to 8000 then load the bin press burn, then confirm burning from 8000 ,and it's all done,if the car didn't work well check soldering.,and someone remove this topic to another section thanks.

Willem burners do not work well with SST chips. I've tried to use them in the past a number of times. It sucks. Use Amtel chips or buy a Moates Burn1.

You can still get Amtel chips from here.

i just realized he was talking about willem. i have a moates unit with burn1. in that case i have no idea if all you have to do is change the hex to 8000.
