Default 4lug to 5lug adapter???

My friend showed me this 4lug to 5lug adapter/spacer that makes your 4lug into a 5lug. he was trying to tell me that it would work..but i dont know i remember seeing it here a while back on the for sale thread. someone was selling them and claiming that they used it to run some ITR wheels on their 4 lug integra. this thing is like 1.75" (44mm) thick. it gives you a higher offset. i was just wondering if any of you guys has every done this or seen this before. if so anyone got any pics??

well your friend is incorrect. Adapters give your vehicle a LOWER offset. When running the adapters your wheels will probably stick out another 1.25"+ inches from the wheel well, even if you run a +45 offset wheel.

running a wheel spacer does nothing to the wheel bearing........i drove on 15mm spacer for over a year... not one problem, and there is no play in the bearing...

if you are running the same offset wheel at with a spacer you are pretty much putting leverage to the bearing.

will it fail the next day? probably no but yeah, you are stressing the bearing no doubt(assuming you runs the same offset)

not to mention most of the junk out there is not hubcentric in any direction so you can have a guess-a-mount from the wheel to the spacer and spacer to the hub
