Default offset wheels

So I know they sell offset wheels where when on car they are spaced out a bit. I have some offset konigs on my ef. Can you space out a rim or buy some type of spacer for normal rims so that it gives you an offset. Look? And if so what is it called.

You can "push wheels out" away from the car by getting spacers or by getting wheels with a lower positive offset number (or even negative offset). However, if they go out too much you can run into problems with clearance in the outside of the wheel wells, although you can add clearance by "rolling" (bending) your fender lip.

There are issues with spacers, too. Some spacers replace the lug nuts and others replace the hub lip for centering the wheel; others are just flat metal plates and because those lose the hub centering of the wheel, the wheels can be susceptible to vibration problems. Also, you need to have at least 6-7 full turns on the lug nuts; if the spacers push the wheels out beyond that point, you will need to replace the studs with extended ones, and get open-ended lug nuts.

All in all, there's a lot of stuff you need to do to make it work, just to achieve a certain "look". It's a whole lot easier to just find wheels that fit your car as is - with maybe a little bit less offset to push them out, but only a little, not enough to create any of these issues.

Ok so My question is how do I go about deciding what size will look right? I see there are 20mm 40mm and 60mm. And what other brand wheel comes offset already like the konigs I have?
