Wheel Problem
Hello, i purchased a set of bbs wheels a while back and it turns out the lug pattern does not match my car. I was given false information about the pattern when i bought it so I guess im stuck with the wheels. My question is, how can i find out what lug pattern my wheels are. The wheels are deffinitely not 4x100 or 4x114.3. Also, I dont have time to match up every different 4 lug to see if it fits. I would try to resell them if i knew the lug pattern of them, but if possible i would like to make it work on my ek hatch. I have heard of people redrilling into the wheels and also the hubs. The wheels themselves have little areas that look like they would accomodate that. If i were to do so, where would i go to get that done and how much would it cost? Also, another option would be to use wheel spacers, but they are a little too pricey for me, and also my wheels have a low offset as it is, i wouldnt want them to stick past my fenders. Any good advice would be greatly appreciated! Here is a picture of my one wheel i had been working on.

You'll find the answer there. Scroll down to the "Wheels FAQ" and look for the question, "What is bolt pattern (lug pattern)?"
I do NOT recommend drilling your wheels for a different lug pattern, which will make them weaker. Just re-sell them (or, if you can, return them for a refund), and buy wheels with the lug pattern that matches your car.

Thanks for the great advice guys! When i measure it with my crappy ruler it seems to be at around 11 or 12 mm, i cant really get an accurate reading. So I assume its 4x112, if thats even a lug pattern.
Me, personally, think there's nothing wrong with redrilling the wheels. There are a lot of wheels out there with a 4x100 lug pattern and a a different 4 lug pattern. As long as its still 4 lugs, it should be fine, but thats just my opinion. Now if the wheels were 5 lug and you wanted to drill for 4 lugs, there could be a problem.

I assume he meant that he couldn't get an accurate reading, it looks like 11 or 12 cm (110 or 120 mm) but he can't get more accurate than that...

Sorry for bringing this up from the dead, but i had my wheels redrilled and they are a very viable option. It cost me 140 dollars total to do all four wheels. All the guy did was widen up the hole alittle with a special cad redrilling machine. He then hammered in metal ring that would support the studs. I am bringing this back because i remember i had trouble with options and lack of info on what to do with my wheels. Hopefully this will help someone else out.

Haha, yes that sir is a plunger and it isnt the best method to roll the rear, as it is pretty stiff. I just took a big hammer to it later. The man i took my wheels to get done was surprised i found out about him because he usually gets calls from dealerships( i googled him and his name popped up with a number). I guess this process is common among dealerships( atleast in my area).
