you could try taking the v/c off aand see if the head bolts are torqued to spec. If they're good then it might be time to look at the head gasket and if its good, try resurfacing, thats my $.02

Is the leak on the trans side? Puddles up in a little spot on the block? The leak is external IE. valve cover gasket, distributor O-ring and depending on if its twin cam,it could be a cam plug or Vtec seal. Check all those and let us know. Dont worry about a headgasket, its not that. People think oil will actually leak out of the head and onto the left corner of the block and puddle up LOL!

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be my valve cover gasket not being sealed correctyl. I don't know if this will apply to you.

I have the same problem, but I think it might be my cam seal or my Valve Cover gasket. I have both parts just waiting for a sunny day to do work on it.

any time i've ever mismatched a head and it's original block, i've ALWAYS had an oil leak there....just food for thought. oil never made it into the coolant, and compression was perfect....i just had that leak.

HMMM..the oil leak is on the trans side. I know this is very common. I didnt put the head on, I bought the car as it is. Ill take a look at the valve cover gasket and other things and see if i can figure it out..thanks again

take the head completely off the block. remove gasket. place a thin layer of honda-bond around all the oil guides and head studs. Also apply on the head. lay head gasket on block with head studs in place. Drop down head and torque to spec.
had the same problem, honda-bond fixed!
