Default tranni help

I own a 1999 civic si and heres my issue.

couple days ago when it snowed, i was ****** around and i gunned it on the snow to see far i could get the speedometer to go, and yea i got it to about 150 (stupid i know), and it drove fine for a while, but then when i tried shifting to 5th at high rpm it grinded it very rough. and i did that couple times to see if it would go away, but it didnt. and when i stopped, i couldnt put my car into reverse at all, and its still not going into reverse. Try putting it in first gear and than bring it to reverse.. Works everytime for me.

Yeaaa, not a good thing for the tranny to freely spin as such. Fair chance that you messed something up doing that. We all have our moments of stupid, it gets the best of us.

While on the snow/ice, do you "slam" it into reverse at any pt?

no, never been slammed into reverse, i tried today as hard as i can and all it did was jam all my gears so i couldn't get into anything for ahilwe, but then i drove for about 10 feet and everything went back to normal, other than my reverse, which is still stuck!
