Default shaving the block for bigger turbo.

hey guys is it ok for me to shave the engine tag no. "b18c1" on my block? im mean shave the whole thing cause the turbo wont fit, it's hitting it. i have a t3/60-1 and i drag manifold. i know this manifold sucks buy if i can get it to fit, i'll use it for now. cause i'm thinking if i shave it to much i might punch a hole in it. any advice? thanks...

I'm assuming the compressor inlet won't clear the block marking?

You have to cut the block webbing out and depending if you have a E or S trim cover will determine how much of the block marking you need to take out. I would try and keep the shaving to a minimum incase you ever want to sell the engine in the future.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by DA_HONDA_BOY &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">turn the turbo around</TD></TR></TABLE>

Then the downpipe will not work if it's from a kit. And if he has AC that won't work either.

You could sell the 60-1 you have now and get an STC Silver Surfer. It makes great power (basically the same as a 60-1) but is meant for tight engine bays. It has a T04b housing so it will help with your clearance issues. PM TheShodan if you want more info on it

cut a wedge as a spacer plate between the turbo and manifold out of steel; this should let you clear the block if you measure right.
