What are the odds of a bad motor?

Wellt oday i just bought a b16a2 and well im kinda worried that there are going to be problems with the motor... everyone that sells motors say about 30k miles on them but how do they know?

also is there anyway to test the motor?... i have to go wensday to get it installed so yeah.... please your thoughts are needed...

anything dumb please just dont post

how do i go abouts doing that? or should i ask them to do it...

The shop is also doing the install for me ... so should i even be really that worried?

but then again i plan on boosting it sooo i think i should be alittel worried

Terms & Condition from their site:

Warranty
All motors come with a 30 Day start up warranty. Engines are tested before sold. All complete motor swaps come with harness and sensors attached. Warranty does not apply after exchange of OEM parts.

You still probably need to do a compression and leak test if you decide to go turbo.

Yeah but do they do that? Is there any paper work i should ask or get from them for this
test in case of anything?

You can call and ask, but they must to do it if they put that in their Terms & Condition. Also see if they can do a compression and leak test if they are able to.

I bought my motor on hmotoronline and they tested everything.

see the thing is they sold me the swap for 2grand and install only 400 bucks...

So the swap was very cheap and they give me all the paper work and stuff like that so ... i duno... should i be buggin out or what?

Thanks Neebs for your help... I appreciate it... Ill call them monday and ask them to do the test on the motor... I looked around for people in socal and swaps and stuff like that and i think that was a very good price for a b16 installed... alot of people where asking high 3k or low 4k... again the shop is new so yeah i hope to pass good news to you guys later next week
