When I first had my car when I would race my car would scratch at 2nd gear. Know no scratch what the hell . I think it might be the axles because I also hear a clunk. Please inquire below.

I'd check your axels while you're at it too.

Oh. Put car in 5th gear at 25 mph and floor it.......if the engine revs higher quickly your clutch is going out.

I have the stock clutch on my 99SI and I have had it for 15000 miles and I at least punch it to 4th on the freeway once a day and 5 on a good day . My car has 40000 miles on it . Please inquire below. And thanks for the responses.

 

Are you actually boosting on your Si, or is that just a name?

I know it's your clutch. Putting all that stress on a stock clutch is not the best idea.

 

didnt honda have a recall on some of the 6gen civic si cause of the tranny and clutch?? i know someone that had to ahve the tranny replaced cause it go so bad..
