93 head removel..
I read up on a haynes manuel and saw that you have to remove the cam , rocker arms and more stuff. Iunder stand the removel of the timing belt and and exhaust manifold and intake manifold but do you have to do the cam thing?
i dont remember on sohc engines.. if you can get to the head bolts without taking the cam caps/rocker assy off then undo the head bolts and the head should pop off.
if you cant get to the head bolts, you need to remove the cam caps/rocker assy.. i think its only like 10 or maybe 8 12 mm bolts.. its been so long..
just follow the manual..
its fairly easy.

is it a sohc?
you can pull the head by just loosening the timing belt
i also usually pull off the intake manifold, but thats on you.
if its dohc you have no choice.
but you said "cam" so i'm assuming..

1. Tensioner - 14mm
2. Pull belt off cam, but maintain tension on the belt so it doesn't skip teeth.
3. Remove the IM & Ex - 12mm?
4. Remove Dizzy - 12mm
5. VC bolts - 10mm
6. Head bolts - 14mm?
That'll get you started! and no, you don't have to mess with the valvetrain...
