Default Grinding 2nd.

Hey guys, I have read that grinding 2nd gear on AP1's is common. Please help me fix this problem. How do I do it?

slow your shifts into second. change fluid asap that will diminish the probability of it occuring. and finally check my sig for TSB. its a common ap1 issue.

My best recommendation is to change out your tranny fluid with Royal Purple synthetic syncromax. My AP1 did the same thing when I bought it with 35kmi on it and it no longer grinds. Not to mention it shifts much smoother and accurately.

this has worked for me. i switched shift ***** to skunk2's heavier 440g and that helped shifting in all gears. also, for 2nd, going from first you have to pull straight down going into 2nd....DONT angle it diagnally down to the left.

try double clutching. if it's your syncro, you can find out by doing this.
