how do you paint raw bumpers
i just got a brand new raw bumper. i washed it and wet sanded it with 600-800 grit. im spraying base coat/clear coat. before i spray bc/cc, what else am i suppose to spray. im not going to use any flex additives. should i just paint it? or spray sealer? or will bulldog adhesion promoter work? i already have these materials and i dont want to buy anything else. thanks

Raw as in no sealer or primer already on it?
If so then you need to wash it with warm soapy water and clean it with plas-stick prep. It removes all the mold release agents and other surface contaminants as well as eliminate static. It is needed for addhesion. You can use the adhesion promoter but without the plastic prep, the oils in the bumper will not allow it to do it's job as well.
Also use the flex. It helps with rock chips. Instead of having the rock chip a small part of the paint on the bumper, you will have a crack in the paint after repeated hits and it will look like you drove behinde a tractor trailer for a long time. With flex most rocks will just bounce off the bumper and not leave a mark. Without, will be opposite.

yea its brand new with no primer on it. already washed with warm soapy water and will use wax and grease remover. alright ill go ahead and spray bulldog promoter on it then paint it. like i said its the rear bumper so rocks wouldnt be a problem. not keeping the car anyway. thanks for the input.

Bulldog then seal it is right. Bulldog is an adhesive promoter, which you will need is its just Raw plastic. Then Seal it, Then BC/CC right over the sealer. I'd give the Sealer about 5 minutes to flash off before you apply paint though.
Since its a rear bumper then you can kinda get away with no flex additive, but its always a good idea. Esp. on a brand new bumper.
