Default Dumb Q

well whats up HT Well my dumb Q comes to why my friends D16A engine makes barely to no noise at all?And why does my engine make more noise?My engine makes a little ticking but it seems more nisy than my friends,whats up?My engine is a D15B Vtec just in case.

Adjust your valves, and make sure your using oil of the correct viscosity... and it has oil in it.

You don't hear vtec untill about 5k Rpms.

Some engines are more quiet than others, thats all. It's not necessarily a bad thing.

Check to see if both of your idles are the same.

It's ok, we are all here to answer questions and help you out..

You mentioned in your original post "My car is D15 Vtec, if it matters".

That's why I went ahead and mentioned about the vtec not hittin till around 5k RPMS

and your D15B will make more noise in VTEC. your buddies dont have VTEC. which would make his quiter. and it is normal for slight ticking from a honda. especially when its cold
