Rocker arm/valve clearence
Guys getting my valve clearence checked tommorrow. Car made 166bhp a few weeks ago its a JDM B18C1 stock figure is 180bhp.
Can I expect much after the clearences are set and checked. Or is there anything else that could be causing the problem.
My engine and gearbox set up is completely stock bar a spoon drop in, but that will make no difference.
thanks in advance
Gary

Well if you had 166 BHP your engine is weak, if you had 166 WHP, its fine. DUDE, if you spent the time and money to dyno your engine a few weeks ago, how come you were not smart enough to adj, the valves then? Maybe replace the plugs, check the timing, just dumb stuff. And what is AHP, just curious. (I made it up)

I was just about to ask wtf was AHP?

Axel horse power is what i thought it was.
Anyway it wasn't dyno tune just a run to see what power I had and where I was going from there.
It made 133 at the wheels at around 7500rpm and 127ft/lbs at 2727rpm. I was just asking what could make a car under perform that much. The plugs in it are irridium tipped and have about 8000 miles on em.
I didn't adjust the valves or timing then just in case the car didi make std power, in which case there would have been no need.

Don I don't think you are reading my posts.
I said 166BHP which is brake horse power measured at the flywheel, or an estimate based on what power was at the wheels.
That 166BHP translated into 133WHP or wheel horse power. This is the amount of power the car physically put through the wheels onto the rollers.
You may already have grasped the above but I am not sure so I make it crystal clear here what figures are what .

Peak torque was at 2727 RPM @127ft/lbs.
Is this possible, or does it mean my engine is sick.
OR is it possible the rollers were bad. Basically, where do I go from here?
