Default tickin in engine

theres a tickin noise comeing from my enging and I cant find where or what it is....any ideas?

how do I adjust the valves or do I need to take it too a shop? how bad is that on the engine and what causes it?

You need a valve cover gasket from autozone, maybe some gasket sealer, and feeler guages. There are already step-by-step tutorials on H-T, so just do some simple searches. I found these in a quick search:

Either way, keep searching. It's not that hard, but if you really want to take it to the shop, they might charge you a lot. Good luck...

From the type of question your asking us i'd say your not exactly up to par with honda motors, thereby eliminating the option of doing it yourself. I say screw it! take it in to a shop and have it professionally done. A valve adjustment is not as easy as one might think.

im not gonna spend the money to have a shop do it when my brother and I can do it ourselves in just an hour or two

well good luck with the attempt just dont mess up. acura costs about 175 to do the job if i remember.
