Hi my name is mike and i am wondering which turbo kit to by for my car...... later i will be moding stuff on the motor but i want to turbo it first...... so if anyone could give me tips thanks.

 

actually u can build ur on using the old turbo eclpise parts form the manifold to the turbo and even the fuel injecters.

 

dont buy a kit... there not compleet.

go to a shop and have them put a good one togeather for you

 

well i wanna learn how to install everything for one..... and how is it not complete it says that it is.......... and i dont know how to get or install the eclipse parts onto it...... thats why i was gonna go with a kit........

How much would a shop charge me to have a custom turbo put on the car (guestamate on the price range cause I know that it depends on the shop)

the eclipse one bolts up directly, people been doing this for a while on the 4th gen accords. its not as difficult to put the turbo kit on urself, its just the oil lines and little stuff that r bitches. i rather put a turbo kit on then changing the water pump while the motor is still in the car.

 

Do turbo kits come with directions on how to install..... lol

Got any other ideas that i could do to mod my car....... i plan to add a chip cause that is cheap and gives decent hp....... i will probably add an intercooler for the turbo.......

I got another ?..... what does it mean when you put a stand alone fuel management system on your car...... does it mean that you just swapped out the old fuel sytem with a new one or is that a name brand......idk...... i just started researching up on the stuff for cars..... i mean i know what everything basically does but not much detail..... thats why these ? probably sound stupid................. well thanks and hook me up with any info you could give me

You are going to have problems finding a shop in Indy that can do a turbo instal right. I lived on 96th for six years, not many import shop in Indiana. West Lafayette has some with Purdue there.

WOWO you are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy out there homie...you want suggestions? here's a few

READ...use the search feature here on HT and you will find many examples of turbo kits on peoples cars...and also jsut like the have a honda accord forum they also have another good on here on HT thats called FI for forced induction.......I wouldn't spend a penny untill you learned a good example of a "stand alone EM" and similar.

Turboing a car aint as easy as it looks and not doing it right from the beggining without some understanding I will gaurentee end up more than a pain in the *** at the end.....

I slowly pieced together my turbo kit using parts form a mitsubishui Evo, a Ford thunderbird, DSM injectors...IMO completly kits are a waste of money when you can piece together one your self and learn alot along the way......

SO to sum it up...READ...Use the SEARCH feature...keywords like turbo accord, boosted F blah blah blah...
