I HAVE THE SAME CAR..THE TURBO INSTALLATION IS NOT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT BUT YOU NEED KNOWLEDGE OF HOW IT WORKS, THE SHOPS ARE GONNA REALLY RAPE YOU AND MOST OF THEM DON'T KNOW ANYMORE ABOUT INSTALLING AN AFTERMARKET TURBO KIT ANYMORE THAN YOU DO, FIND A PERSON WHO MESSES WITH CARS ON THE SIDE, IT WILL BE A LOT CHEAPER AND THEY USUALLY KNOW A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN THE SHOPS...A FRIEND AND ME INSTALLED MINE, HE HAD DONE TURBO INSTALLS BEFORE, MOTOR SWAPS, AND HE WORKS FOR HONDA SO IF ANYTHING WENT WRONG IT COULD BE SOLVED, SOME PARTS WERE DIFFICULT BUT YOU COULD DO THE MAJORITY OF THE WORK,MOUNTING THE INTERCOOLER, EXHAUST MANIFOLD, TURBO, WASTEGATE, AND RUNNING THE PIPING TAKES THE LONGEST TIME, AFTER THAT IT'S ALL VACCUM LINES, WIRING THE FUEL PUMP AND FMU.....GET SOME DIRECTIONS OFF THE NET AND TAKE A LOOK AT THEM , YOU CAN SAVE YOURSELF A WHOLE LOT OF MONEY AND TIME...........

Hey, from my experience, there isnt a shop around here that truly knows what they are doing when it comes to installing a turbo. Buy a helms, do your homework, get some friends, get some beer, and do it yourself!!!

Re: Recommended shop for turbo installation in Oregon (shpae)
Thanks, all of your help!
Me and my friends never had any turbo cars before i wil be the first guy to put turbo kit into car. All of us know about very basic stuff how turbo works, that's all
My question is all of you guys in this forum, never had any experience of turbo installation before when you / your friends put it yourself?

Blk94: sorry never heard of them. But i've got a friend who knows quite a few more shops around here then I do. I'll ask what he thinks of their work, are you asking for installing a bolt on kit? or custom kit?

I never had any experience installing a turbo b4 installing mine. The internet helps alot. The only thing I had done is headers, TB and intake in my GSR. Thats it. Its pretty easy.

Re: Recommended shop for turbo installation in Oregon (PureTeg420)
Thanks, one more question!
There is one sport shop in Oregon, called 'Speed Concept'? whatever they have drag 3 kit(just basic kit without any upgrade kit) is $2500! I am kinda wonder their price is too lower than anybody especially lower than Ben's product in this forum $28xx....
I am kinda doubt their kits(Speed Concept) product cause their price is too low?
What do you think, should i get this kit from Speed Concept?

No **** they are expensive!!! None of my freinds swaps were under $5000!!!! The b18c into the civic cost the chick $6800!!!! The other 2 were b16a 2nd gen. swaps. He seems to do good work though, I don't think any of them took more than a day.

Re: Recommended shop for turbo installation in Oregon (shpae)
shpae- I never installed anything on my car ever before I came to this board.. After a few months on here of reading and talking to people who had done alot of car work I decided to do my own install, for fun, for experience, and to save money.. I am lucky cause I had the help of alot of people who had experience and with the help of honda-tech.. but ill tell you after going from never even wrenching on a car to doing a turbo install it was all worth it.. Id reccomend doing your own install... it feels good when someone asks you where you got your turbo installed and you can tell them that you did it yourself.. its defintly something to be proud of..

Re: Recommended shop for turbo installation in Oregon (DIRep972)
The 2 b16's came with all the bolt ons, not cheep one's either, stuff like JG headers, nice clutch, and zigen exhust. The b18c was in a 2000 Civic Si which was stolen and striped of all drive train stuff. She got A/C, ps, axles, radiator, and a whole bunch of stuff. I still think they both paid way to much though. I figured about $2000 in labor.

Thanks, all of you I will try to do myself!
Hey, BLK94RS and PureTeg420 this question is for future reference for my buddy.
Which shop has the most decent price and work, on other hand, exactly knows what they are doing?
1. Ground Zero 2. Fast Trax 3. Alta Sports
