Default Main relay on a 96 hatch cx gone bad?

I have bought a 96 cx hatch from S.C. with a gsr swap. Well now that I wired up everything the car wont crank. I dont hear the fuel pump priming. I checked for a clicking noise on the main relay and nothing happens. I seen plenty of threads on this issue and none mention about an alarm. The shell that I got had an alarm. Could this be the issue in why my car is not starting. Will the relay still click if the alarm is installed on it. I disconnected the box to the alarm an nothing. Same thing. Engine turns but no fuel is getting to the engine.

I doubt the alarm has anything to do with it unless it has some kind of fuel cut tapped into the ecu. Only you can determine that by inspecting the wiring.
This sounds more like an electrical issue involving bad ground at the thermostat housing. Make sure this is nice and tight. Check all fuses. Fuse is a 15amp at your underhood fuse box. This is your 12v to the ECU. Worse come to worse, swap back to the Cx ecu just to see if you get the power to the pump and relay. Post back results

Never had cx ecu. I have a p28 with conversion harness. I checked all my grounds, and the thermostat housing ground too. Just read on here that the main relay sopose to click. This relay does no clicking. Just wanted to know if that has something to do with the alarm before I buy a 60 bucks relay.

Borrow one off a buddy and see if it works. If the car starts then you need a relay. If not then that ain't the problem.

I always consider the before and after. The relay worked before....why wouldnt work after. You replaced a motor and rewired a car=source of problem. Backtrack your steps and youll find the problem.

That would be good. But im new to the Honda scene. Just switched over from the DSM scene. Is there a way to bypass that relay to check if the fuel pump turns on?

There is no way to bypass it. The relay turns on when the key is turned from off to key on and start. My suggestion is to check for fuel pressure and spark. When cranking does the CEL come on and go off? If it stays on while cranking it could be the relay. If it comes on and goes off while cranking I doubt the relay is the issue.

I checked the green/yellow wire with a circut tester. As soon as I put the tester to ground with the key turned, the fuel pump turned on. I changed the relay and nothing happend. I started the car grounding the green/yellow wire and it stayed on until I removed the ground. I checked the grounds to the engine, themorstat and tranny. I seen a green/yellow wire like the one on the relay to the ecu and when I put the tester to it it did not light up. I haven't tried changing the ecu, but before I do, can anyone suggest anything else? Any more relays or grounds I need to check?

Also, does the main relay need to be grounded off with that bracket? or is it just a bracket. When I went to buy it they told me it didn't need it. That it doesn't work as a ground, its just a bracket.
