Run two wires to your parking lights, and get a two filament bulb</TD></TR></TABLE>
He won't need, nor will the sidemarkers accept, a dual-filament bulb.
To wire them as you wish, splice one wire to the green wire and the other wire to the red wire coming off of the front 1157 turn signal bulbs. Leave the black ground wire alone.
This will achieve both turn signal and parking light function as desired.
But as stated that's not the correct way to do it, and IMHO doesn't look very good.

And what kind of car was that? I've NEVER seen any car anywhere that came like that stock.
1st gen Toyota RAV4's and some older Subarus had side markers on the fenders that came on steady with the parking lights, but they did not flash. You could easily re-wire them to flash, though.
My old Camry had rear side markers on the sides of the rear quarter panels that came on with the tail lights. I re-wired them to function as turn signals also. But I was a ricer back then.

RX-7's didn't come with side fender-mounted turn signals in this country. Maybe they were aftermarket?
Some cars also have front corner marker lights that do indeed work as both parking lights and turn signals. 94-97 Integra bumper lights are wired this way, as well as many American cars. Maybe that's what you were thinking of?

It's annoying as hell when you see a car with their side markers always lit. so retarded, why do people do this? The side marker is suppose to be on when you signal, not at all times! it screams look at me, i'm a dumbass that doesnt know how to wire the light up correctly... look, look!!!
there's a lot of people that wire them up to work with the parking lights as well as the turn signals. maybe it's just to show off at night that they have sidemarkers since they can't be signaling all the time, or even driving with their hazards on.

yeah exactly... showing off that you have sidemarkers, that's retarded. Rice as hell. Having to show off that you have anything is just ricer IMHO.
