Ok, I'm putting a 97 Prelude SH radio into my 97 Civic.

I know all the plugs are the same (8-pin round DIN cable for accessory, and standard 89-98 Civic Harness). I am wondering if anyone has any additional information or pictures of the microphone setup in the rear for the Acoustic Feedback System. I cannot find any of these parts in the EPC, or any of the wiring. I am wanting to set this up in my car and have the AFS system functional.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

That's a distinct possibility, albeit a weird placement.

OK, that's good then. It appears that the deck will work without the presence of the amplifier and the stock rear speakers. That might get expensive if I had to have those.

I don't think Gary fully understands what he is talking about. He states that the speakers are each 2 ohm and they that they are monophonic. He goes on to say that this means they will be twice as loud. Now I don't have a 5th gen service manual so I can't swim through the schematic but I would bet that the rear speakers are wired in a series to the amp. This would mean that the amp is 4 ohms. Each speaker may be 2 ohms but they each only get half the power so it cancels out. Also if you wanted to make it louder and in stero you could simply run two amps, one for each side, and switch to a better speaker. Here your only challenge would be wiring up the microphone that you cannibalized from the stockers.
