Default quick rod bearing ?

I was just wondering if there was a difference in acl bearings and acl RACE bearings? This is the deciding factor in a gasket/rebuild kit off of ebay. thanks for any help!

from what i can gather both race and duraglide are the trimetal, while the Aluglide is not.
but just go with the race..

i've never used acl's yet.

i believe race gives more clearance. go with the std for DD.

Thanks alot!!!! I have used the standard duraglide bearings on 4 motors i have rebuilt and never had any problems. This LS/Vtec build i am doing is just to finally have a fresh pretty much stock engine while i save up for a sleeved block and better internals. I appreciate the input!

The 'race' series has an extra .001" of clearance.

The Race bearing with a HX part number (the X) means extra clearance, the Race bearing with a H part number (no X) are standard size. The Race main bearings also help with better crank oiling to the rods.

so is it worth the money to get these bearings for basically factory build/rebuild? this motor is just to get me a fresh, reliable, factory motor. yeah i most likely will go to the track a few times and beat on it a bit.
