about a week ago i cleaned my throttle body and ever since then my idle is really high between 2-3k. ive been reading through all kinds of topics that ive searched on h-t and yesterday i cleaned th IACV and still i have this high idle. if im coming to a red light and take the car out of gear the rpms will stay @ 2-3k if i blip the gas pedal they will fall and idle just like normal....its almost like the butterfly is sticking just a hair ....any suggestions....can i put any lubrication where the butterfly closes @.....any suggestions would be appreciated

It's not your cable then. I keep mine tight and it still doesn't idle that high. Is your IACV sealing properly? Did you get any significant amount of moisture in the connections? Any CELs?

Bump for the same issue.

Found this thread while searching and the exact same thing happened to me. Cleaned TB and now theres this high idle. Tap the gas and it drops down to normal.

Any ideas as to WTF it is?? I have checked the usual...

I had a problem like that after my mini-me swap. my throttle body is off my stock d15b7 intake. i took it off and took off the 2 8mm bolts off the back of the throttle body. Theres a little plate on the back that the 2 bolts hold on. Inside is a little white peice that looks like a thermostat or something, i really dont know whats its called, but all i did is tighten it back together and my car idled fine.
