Default my turbo build.Advice on piston & rod setup

ok im planing on doing a mild turbo build on my d16y8. & thinking about going with some Vetara low comp pistons. & some tunertoys Rods

http://tunertoys.zoovy.com/pro....html
Do i have to shave my girdle & block for these rods like u do for eagles?
& should a bore or hone my block a lil & go with a slightly bigger piston? 75.5mm?
& kinda new to this. never built a block be4
& any other advice would be great

Before someone else says it to you. Search and read, your requirment depends on your target like someone said 'a sucessful journey begins with knowing the destination'.

can't say much about the rods as I don't personally have any experience with them, however, I would recommend always a fresh bore to next size over and hone when rebuilding to ensure a good ring seal and accurate piston to wall clearances. Good luck with the build

dont bore if your going turbo. especially if your putting in pistons and rods. you want as much meat on those sleeves as possable. so you can push 400whp

good ring seal and accurate ptw clearance is more important than .25mm extra cylinder wall thickness

i second that...if you're running an 81mm bore and the engine has a few miles on it, it is worth your money to get it overbored to 81.5mm. Having a fresh bore and perfectly round cylinder walls is much more important than .5mm more meat on the sleeves
