if your boosting there is no sense in that when the stock rods are the first weak point. it's best to just buy both. while u have the motor open that far to take the piston off anyway. then u start fresh and trash or save the old.

are there any rods i can buy that don't require notching the block? so far i have the crank installed with new bearings and ARP main studs.

Any rod will work without having to notch the block, your not building a D series. I recommend Eagle rods just because they are well priced and are proven to work.

i read a post where someone used eagle rods and CP pistons and had to slightly notch the block.
