allthough im skeptical as to why you would have 8k lying around for a civic ill put my 2 cents in,

with a built block(sleeved, pistons, rods), Head work ( port and polish) , and a nice equal lenght manifold and a good turbo( im being vague here because this is usually personal prefrence) Somthing like a borg warner s372 (say goodbye to a/c and power steering for good clearance) you could see close to 500whp on this setup. With a good tune, even using a free tuning program like chrome or uberdata you would be good to go. Dont forget a decent intercooler, try to stay clear of flea-bay pieces for a build this powerfull. I hope this helps

If you have 8K swap in SIR2 B16 Engine w/ LSD and get a cast manifold w/ turbo and downpipe from ebay tune it and put down over 350 and you might still have money left over.

B16 swap w/ hasport mounts w/ lsd 3K
Turbo kit ebay 850
Edelbrock intake 300-350
tuning w/ crome on dyno 550
misc injectors, vacume ****, install ect 1000

total 5750 give or take

Money still left over for good wheels, tires and axles car is reliable and good for 350 hp

the car will be reliable and hook like a B**ch. And your boosting 10lb if you want u can still do internals and put down up too 500hp still in 8k but reliability goes out the window.
