Default n00b suspension question (h&r cup kit for '99 into '88)

i've searched, but i probably didn't search well enough.

bring on the HT flames

anyways

i've got an h&r race cup kit with a skunk 2 front camber kit complete with the wishbone that came off a 99 SiR am i able to just swap the wishbone out with a 88-91 civic one and use the h&r race cup kit w/ camber kit? the rear would go in no problem correct?

I'm pretty sure the front wishbone for the 88-91 Civics has a smaller diameter than the later Civics and Integras, so you'd have a hard time fitting the shock in. The rears would certainly not fit since your 88's rear lower control arms are the "box style" LCA's, like what the ITR's have. The rear shock from the 99 Civic is designed for a "fork style" rear LCA. You could use the LCA off an 89-91 Civic, but you'd need to shave down the shock bushing about 5mm on each side to make the shock fit over it.
