Default 99 civic suspension

so i'm putting kyb agx adj. shocks/struts with tein s tech springs on my 99 civic si coupe. i talked to the guy who does most the work on my car and he said i shold definetly get a camber kit for front and rear. well i know someone who had the same exact set up and he didnt have a camber kit and he said his car was fine.

any suggestions or comments i would really appreciate it. if i dont have to get a camber kit or just get the front one that would save me some money which would be awesome. but i also dont wanna mess up my car. i have a set of 15" old spc edition integra rims on there now, but i plan on putting some 16" rota's on some time down the road. if that matters at all

thanks

i have the same stuff on my car suspension wise and i have no camber issue. no camber kit as well. i have a kit for the rear but too lazy to put it on. i guess it could use it on teh rear but i dont see any excessive wear. so meh.

Ask your friend what his camber is on all four corners to justify being "fine." I would say if his camber is greater than -2 degrees then you should consider a camber kit.

if the drop is not to drastic, chances are you won't have to really worry about camber wear. take into mind the amount of driving you do. if you do more than an avergae amount, they might be something to consider.

and whether or not you decided to get a camber kit. it will not ruin your car, all it will do is affect tire wear. just make sure you take your car to a really good alignment shop, not tire kindom, tire plus, pep boys, etc.

I have this exact combo in my 97 dx coupe. When I had alignment done, camber was a little off but within spec. Toe will obviously need to be adjusted.

cool thanks guys. is the camber kit (front or rear) a hard thing to add later on after suspension is put on and everything is properly aligned?

no not hard but you will want to get an alignment done again.

Camber isnt what wears your tires unless all you're doing is burnouts. Dont bothe with the camber kit. Just get the car aligned for toe and you really shouldn't see much irregular wear from the tires. Toe gets thrown off when you lower it. Just have the toe adjustment done at an alignment shop.

well...camber is part of an alignment. If you change camber, it changes other angles. Then you have to get it re-aligned. Like I said....just fix the toe. The rear will be toed IN and the front will be toed OUT.

you have to get adjustable control arms. The balljoint slides in and out.
