Default Car is running way rich and very sluggish

I turned my car on and as soon as i heard the startup I knew it wasnt right at all.
I checked my plugs and they were covered black. Bought new ones and started the car (wires were in correct order) and did the same thing. Pulled the new plugs out and they were covered black as well. 2 cylinders that the plugs came out of were black and the other 2 were somewhat alright. I think its dumping to much fuel in those 2. why would this happen and how can I fix this ? And is it safe to drive it like this because I HAVE to get to work ad its my only means of transportation. It runs and drives very very sluggish and not clear at all.

Anyone ?

Thanks

Sounds like a timing issue? And call a cab, because too much fuel can detonate at bad times causing some big damage.

test your injectors to make sure they are good. they sound like the culprit

think timing has anything to do with it ??

I can only make it to work if i drive my car but I do NOT wanna cause damage to my motor. It was a lot of hard work and time to get this car where it is now . . or should i say was

dude, test your injectors. why would your timing all of a sudden **** the bed? i don't think it would. however if your injectors were stuck open which it sounds very much like it is ( almost any other problem would effect all cylinders ) then it would be exhibiting all the symptoms your car is. I don't know the exact specs on what OBD0 injectors' allowable tolerances are but I'm sure you can find them somewhere in the archived forums. and you can probably test them on the rail. Also, you said the start up was shitty too, well if the injectors were firing fuel before the intake charge was going in, then the start up would be poop too.

check your timing with a timing light and your service connector jumped....

if its WAY off you might have jumped a tooth.

Any cel codes? Check the distributor cap to make sure the contacts are clean. Also check the main ground on the thermostat neck and make sure it is tight. A loose connection there can cause the same problem
