Hey guys whats going on? i got a question, i just finished my ls/vtec turbo build in my 94 teg. now when i first started the motor it idled very weird. like it was bouncing back and forth between 2k-3k.. so i replaced the I.A.C. this morning and the car didn't do it as bad, but still did it. but once it warmed up the car idled fine. If its still doing it after i replaced the I.A.C. what else can it be?

 

may be the fast idle valve?

 

there is some play in the throttle body. if it is open even slightly, you may see high rpm's at idle. Also, after your tune, the fuel map might be running a little rich at idle.

Could be a vacuum leak.

 

ALL of these could be the culprits....was it professionally tuned also?

 

not yet im going to get tuned next tuesday.
