just more power than the stock 1.8L, preferably VTEC.
I tried using that red little button but was not too successful in my findings, so I decided to post although I had a feeling I'd get flamed.

I was in your same situation around febuary this year. I just went to HMO and bought a JDM b18c swapped it in and called it a day. It is definately a beautiful engine, but now I have I/H/E intake mani CTR cams and waiting for a tune and also a B16 tranny, because the LS tranny definately kills performance! I learned the hard way.
I am looking to get 180whp daily driven and for autocross use.

b16a will work, btu alot of people argue that it too underpowered for a heavier car
i loved my XSI, which came with the b16 straight from japan....
if you want a little more pop, consider rebuilding your bottom end and mating it with a b16 head for starters....just make sure it's done properly

do not ignore that advice, if honda didnt do it in the first place, then might as well make it bulliet proof from the start.
~ what are you plans with the car?
