What do you think about Red Tops
Like the title says, what do you think about red tops cuse I need a new battery and I dont know If I should get one. The only reason I want one is because I have a system and for the actual red top to match my engine bay
If you like it and you think it will look good, get it. F the haters, you're rice if you let other people tell you how to mod your own car.

Getting a new battery with more capacity to run your audio system = function.
Getting a new battery because it matches your valve cover/engine bay = rice.

I had a nice conversation with an interstate battery rep and he said optima batteries had the highest return rate of any other battery. I used to work at circuit city and I knew 4 people who went through multiple red/yellow top batteries in year. They're great when they work... not worth it though.
a f*ck it, they are all rice rockets one way or another lol. Rice is rice, regardless where its grown and harvested.
You'd think if we were all logically thinking, it would be more rice to have true JDM products for that they come from a prodominatly rice fed area/region. (just kidding / trying to be funny)
Anyways, to be the on the inside looking out; try being the local ford/gm car lover. I'm sure they think all of us* and our prelude's are Rice.
Don't get me wrong though, I'll take my Honda that lasts 15-20 years or probably 400000 kms +/- 100000 anyways, so *** domestic cars. But yeah, I guess we are all technically rice

To add to what Splatter said, I have run many batteries, especially under hard audio loads, and would say go Interstate. I had 2 batteries same age for my old car that was an audio show/comp car, Interstate and Optima redtop. Both sat on a shelf in my closet for oh 18 months, charged both, and started using the Optima. As soon as it got cold I wasn't able to start the car off battery anymore. I go to a local buddies shop and he tests both batteries, they show good cranking amps on both, then we test under load, the Interstate with a much lower charge had wayy better hold under load, where the Optima just died as soon as a load was applied. Charged the Interstate fully and it worked great for another 2 years till I got rid of the car.
