Yes,that ecu will work fine. might throw a code, but it will run and drive no problem.

that is great news. i put a chip in my pr3 and i think it messed it up. it will flash one time and thats it. i'm sure it is suppose to stay on if working properly

Actually if the red light is solid, that usually means the ecu is no good..
If it's a short flash,thats code 1 for the o2 sensor,
if its a long flash, thats code 10 for intake air sensor,
to be sure maybe you should check again

thats weird, its not making an offer to start i'm confused. i'm gonna try the integra ecu to see what happens. it has good spark, and fuel pressure is good and we even compression tested the cylinders as well and they were at 120psi on a cold motor that hasn't ran for 3 days....
did you make sure the chip was installed correctly?
I changed chips in my socketed pr3 and I didn't push the chip all the was down into the socket and I had the red light of death
pulled the ecu and tried again and it worked fine

i had the chip installed about 4 months ago by a really good friend. Hes a computer tec for ibm in calgary. he is doing that kinda stuff every day. it worked fine and then my car just died. about an hour ago i tried my friends pr4 ecu out of his integra and it never started either.....i'm lost
do anyone have any ideas on what i should check. is there a seperate fuse for injectors? or any test i could run to check if they are working??
any help would be great....thanks

check the alt/sol fuse in the under dash fuse box. it should be near the headlight fuses. I think its a 10amp fuse. the car will not start if its blown.
I don't think that the ECU is to blame. When you turn the key, the status light should blink once and only once. If your ECU was bad, the light would either stay on or not blink at all. Did you check your injectors?
my injectors are spraying. i have good spark. I pulled off the valve cover to see if my belt jumped and it was good. is there a sensor somewhere that could be broken and not making my motor start
