Ok, well would a different ECU be a direct plug in and offer any more performance
and also i dont understand how to read this obd LED for the codes
the led on the ecu comes on stays on for about 5 seconds, then it blinks 5 times stops, has a quick blink but longer then the other blinks, then blinks 5 more times
and on the sheet i have there is nothing for 5 blinks, but 6 blinks is a coolant temp sensor,
what happens is at idle the check engine light wasnt on, and after a few minutes of spirited driving the light comes on and stays on and has been on

i dont know if u could find one but i belive a PW0 would work as well. its out of the euro/jdm B16a's...i belive it has a more aggressive timing map but dont quote me on that........and as far as ur CEL i think it could be O2 sensor

PW0 maybe, but minimal if any difference.

when you first switch on the ignition the CEL will be on for 5 seconds for the bulb check, then the CEL will start flashing.
I'm confused by your description as to which is a long blink and which is short blink.
short blink = ones digit (1-9)
long blink = tens digit (10-90)
my guess based on your description, 5 & 15.

5 = MAP sensor (machanical problem) http://www.b18c5eg.com/CELs.htm
