Default Compression test results: Still Smoking?

i've been noticing some white/blue smoke coming from the exhaust the past few days. it only smokes at Higher RPM (5-6,500). i did a compression test at the results are as follows.... 158-175-170-165. those numbers dont seem that bad. even though there is one lower one. my spark plugs were all uneven also. cylinder 1 seemed to be running fine, while all the others were white (which indicates a lean condition). i'm probably going to pick up some new Spark plugs just to be safe. any input on what could be smoking???

Jared, the rings that make compression are separate from the rings that seal oil. So, you can still have good compression #s and be burning a bit of oil up there.

That 158 worries me, generally you want all of your cylinders within 10% of the average, and that one is a good bit low.

Is your car tuned?

Most of the time, when the car smokes at high rpm it is from bad oil rings.

Compression results are a little concerning.

Right now, first thing I would suggest is running Engine Restore with all of your oil changes

When I did my compression test a few weeks ago on my h23, I got ~220 across all four, but yet my car is a failure as far as oil is concerned. I think it could be my (sealing) rings as part of it.

That 100 shot of nitrous has alot to do with the rings I think. Especially if your not tuned.

Running untuned with some nitrous could really generate some extra heat...not good.

Try doing a leakdown test that will show the condition of everything more clearly.
