93' Lude Hunting Idle?
Ok well I have checked my IA Valvle I cleaned it out and it was DIRTY. Its completely cleaned out but it idle still hunts up and down. I took the same can of Carb Spray I used to clean it to check for any vacum leaks, and well found none.
I also checked my FIT Valve and it was seemed fine. Coolant levels are also just dandy. I dont think it is my TPS as it was replaced earlier and if I give it just a slite amount of gas it doesn't do it while recieving that little bit gas.
So I am thinking that since my IA Valve was so clogged up and dirty that maybe just possibly it is bad? What is the approx. cost for a new one?
Or maybe an Oxygen sensor or something just rediculous. Anywho any additional thoughts on the subject would be great.
Also the check engine light is not on. So I do not think it is electrical.
The car is pretty much stalk.
The only things I have just done are some body work, rims, installed a killswitch, installed push button and removed the ignition, upgraded clutch and fixed bolth the master and slave clutch cylinders as they were bolth leaking.
Its the 2.2L F22a1 Engine. 2 Belts w/ AC.
I have not played with or had to touch the distributor at all.

Vac leaks are a bitch. You need to check absolutely everything on the im. I had a screw just a little loose on the iat sensor that caused it. However once you think you have found it you need to reset your ecu otherwise it will keep surging. Also did you bleed your coolant with the bolt on top of the thermo housing?
Well the things I had done as far as the coolant go were just a simple check on the levels I hadn't thought that it may have needed to be bled. Also I hadn't thought to check the screws either but I will check those things after I finish swapping out my clutch and flywheel.
Quick question, I am no autos expert but I am pretty good at taking direction thats how I know how to work on my cars, its not even that I know what everything is called I just know I how to follow diagnostic routines. Is your radiator suppost to be able to move? Is it suppost to be able to wobble in either direction just slightly?
And what is the IAT Sensor? Intake Air Temperature Sensor?
Where is that if I am right?
And how exactly do you reset the ECU?
Cause I used to live up in high altitude (in the mountains) where it was cold constantly and it never surged at all but now I live in the desert (Arizona) and it started doing this after day 2 of living here. So possibly just the enviroment change it self? Maybe possibly awkwardly?

haha dude, i'm in gilbert az, and i'm having the same damn problem it seems... did u figure it out? mine fluctuates between 1500 and 2500, hot or cold.. and i still cant' figure this damn thing out! i am beginning to think my ecu is toast...
reset the ecu by pulling the negative terminal off the batt for about 10 sec
not sure what the iat is though...

Ya the problem was really simple actually... All I had to do was replace my fuel filter. I found this out though after my fuel pump died because of it....
