I dont know if anyone would know this, but what GM cars were available with the 3 bar map sensor, i work at a wrecking yard and cars come through and i pulled two map sensors thinking i was lucky only to find out they are 1 bar.....which wont read boost. So are there certain cars i should be looking for?

 

Im pretty sure its from a '89 pontiac trans am turbo, the part# is 12223861

 

I always assumed they were for the Duramax diesel trucks...

 

Not sure about the d-max but im positive about the the part#, I went thru the same thing, ordered a map sensor for a grand national and then realized after a crazy night on the dyno that the gn's only came with 2 bars.

Oh, i doubt well see any of those lol. Dammit, i was all stoked. Oh well i still get my 3" GM mafs for the dsm guys.

my first car ever... unequivocably worst car they ever wore a trans am badge, lol

 

The turbo trans am, the gmc Typhoon and Syclone have 2bar(14.7psi), and the grand national may have a 3 bar but not sure
