i changed my tranny fluid but now when i shift it take like 1-2 sec. to shift?? for ex. i shift from 2 to third....its feels like it hits a wall then it opens up... is it the tranny fluid? do i need to buy the stuff from the dealer.. the honda stuff

 

So you changed it recently???

 

Maybe your linkage or bushing, clutch master cylinder, does it grind at all???

 

i changed it like a week ago and yes 3rd 4 and 5 grind when i get on it .... they dint before... third did once in awhile

 

Sounds like the fluid to me....well it sounds like syncros, but the fluid will effect those, so indeed, get some Honda MTF and go from there.

That would be my guess too. what kinda fluid did you use?
The Helm FSM says to use the Honda MTF,
Other manuals say you can use 10w30. that's what i use,
And never had any problems.
I have heard of lots of trouble with synthetic in the trany.
From what i have heard it will spool the syncros to fast or not fast enough.
They say the RedLine synthetic MTL works well though.

 

May be a stupid question, but did you fill the tranny with the car level?

i picked up some tranny fluid from the local honda dealer havent installed it yet but will soon thax.
