First of all spacers are bad but if u REALLY have to have 9" wide wheels...you could in theory buy the Brembo brake setup for the DC5R and then get x9 wheels with a spacer. But thats a theory i dunno for sure 8" wide is possible with no spacer on the brembos but i have no idea about 9" wide wheels plus im fairly certain ur turning radius would decrease ever so slightly

Don't take advice from people who have never tried what they're preaching.

17X9 +45 will fit fine themselves.

As for the tires, they should be okay, as long as you have your fender lip rolled inwards.

I guess that's what happens when you ask questions on the internet.

A 17X8 +45 and a 17X9 +45 look almost identical, so what would look retarded? I don't understand the logic behind some of these posts..

Yeah I've put 17X9 +38 on a DC5 before, it's almost as far as you can go..

yeah you CANNOT put 17x9.5 with a +38 offset int he rear hits the the lower trailing arm. I mean te wheel bolts on and all but it hits the arms whenyou lower the car back to the ground

what is your logic for using spacers? You would be effectivley reducing offset..or is it for clearance reasons on the rear suspension? I ran 17 x8.5, 25 offset on my ep3 and never had any rubbing issues whatsover..cars ability to create negative camber is the most extreme of any I can think of..I have a BB6 now and fitted 16x8 +3 offet and it was a pita to roll and pull fenders..negative camber would have made the job a lot easier

What is the advantage of running such a wide rim? Or is it for just looks?

99% of the time with Hondas, wider wheels are for looks.

The other 1% of the time, it's for wider tires, wider stance, etc.

dont waste money on spacers... get the right wheels, and studs... youll put tooo much stresson the car suspension.. and the wheel will just break off!

Don't listen to people who don't know what they're talking about.

SPACERS will NOT CAUSE YOUR WHEELS TO BREAK OFF. I don't know where you would even come up with a theory like that.
Too much stress on the suspension?

not all spacers are bad. H&R and Project Kics make the right kind of spacers. if they bolt to your existing studs and have their own studs, that is the safest way you can have a spacer.

I don't really know what to say, other than Volkswagen.
