Default OBD2 into OBD1 ... Need help!

Hey guys, im doin a obd2 d16y5 swap into my obd1 eg ... ive noticed a couple of things that are different. One thing is that there was a couple plugs that my obd1 harness didnt have. One of them was on the back of the block, there is s plug comin out of the timing belt cover, and the other is on top of the fuel rail, it has a hose that goes into it and out (if you need pics i can get some) do i need to plug these for the engine to run? Since its e-vtec, and i dont have the y5 comp, can i just use my p28 chipped, and use a buddy club v tec controller? Where do i plug the iat sensor at i noticed that the IM did have this sensor, so what do i do with it? Please guys i need as much info as possible to make this a easy as possible. im goin to be doin this very shortly. Thanks! oh yea, i rewired the alt and i switched the internals on the dizzy, so im good on that, just the stuff i mention above. thanks again!

Congrats on choosing a nightmare swap.

The extra sensor/plug at the timing cover on the Y5 is for the CKF sensor - not used/needed in OBD1 application.

The extra plug/sensor/hoses on the fuel rail on the Y5 are for some evap system bullshit - again no need to worry about this for the engine to run

I'm pretty sure the IAT wiring/sensor type is completely different, and if you look in the FAQ topic there might be some info/links on how to rewire a 3 wire IAT to a two wire type, etc. etc.

I'm just curious - why the Y5? Was it free?

why the y5 ... cuz im a sucker... i blew my gsr (rip my baby) and i didnt have enough money to piece together another b series, then some guy pmed me sayin he had a y8 swap for 400, i asked him if he would leave it for 350 and he agreed. it was a complete swap. well when i picked it up i never looked at the code,(my fault) and when i brought it home, my friend said i thought you bought a y8, cause this says y5. so now im stuck with this **** ... i plan to through a bottle on it, maybe itll have some hope!

so where does the iat go after i rewire it? is this all i need o get it runnin? and again should i use a vtec controller to set vtec

so if you use the p28 ecu you dont need to plug that crank sensor in? does anyone think if i use a p06 ecu in my odb1 to 2 obd2 harness and use a harness conversion, (to obd1) do i need to plug it in too?
