Default DSM Turbo Question

I am boosting my DA and wan't to know if will be able to get 10psi and 250whp out of a 2nd gen DSM turbo (TD04) and will this bolt up to my t3/t4 turbo manifold. Also is there away to do away with the internal wastegate. Oh ya, can I get an adapter plate to bolt this to my manifold. Thanks

You can make 250whp out of that turbo but its going to take more than 10psi....i dont get the significance of 10psi in this whole thing though

and no, it wont bolt up to your manifold

To not run the internal wastegate, get the flapper welded shut and run a external off your manifold.

From what I have read 15psi is about all that a stock b18 bottom end will handle and still be reliable. So I figured that 10psi will be conservative, and allow me to get the whp that I am shooting for. If this sounds foolish hit me up with some different ideas. Thanks guys

you can't go by strictly PSI. Different turbos give different volumes of air at the same psi. Look to what fits parts that are replacable in case something happens, or you need to swap out parts. Many B18b/c hondas can handle about 350whp reliably before items start breaking (and no I don't care if people here run 450whp on stock internals, it won't last that long..) My definiation of reliably long is 4+ years, so I keep it conservative.

Choose the turbo that works for your needs. The resources are out there. If you think this is going to be a nice reliable "cheap" setup, think again, and look to your budget.

its simple. if you want about 250whp with that certain turbo. start the tune low (say 8psi) then crank the boost up and tune till you get the desired power level.
