Shoot me now. I've been working on this for 6 months.
I have a 2000 Civic EX that I converted to a manual. I had to do the 2 wire IACV conversion, so I did. It worked fine until my bro mis-shifted. When I did wire it, I chopped it instead of de-pinning it.
So I soldered my connections after it acted up when my brother misshifted. It worked for a while now its acting up again. This time it will start fine and usually won't act up while cruising until I stop at a light. The car will idle up to 1500 rpm and sit there. Then when I drive adding and removing gas it will lurch. It will continue to do this until I restart the car. Then it will be fine for a while.
I ran a new solid wire to the IACV using a wire from a left over auto plug. This didn't change anything to my disbelief. So I did the same to the negative wire and instead of running it to the main relay or w/e it goes I just grounded it to the thermostat housing. It ended up making it worse, I don't understand how, so I changed it back.
please help before I get too sick of it.
