Picked this car up a month ago or so. The car seems solid. But I have now issues with shifting gears. Feels like when I go from any gear into the next and/or down shifting it hit a WALL... Kinda notchy at times, but no grinding. Clutch chatters at times too, not all the time. But when I go to leave a stop light for instance it will chatter. There is no slipping or grinding currently. The car drives great once in a gear.
Thought it was my Clutch Master Cylinder, noticed it was leaking. Replaced that last night. Still not fixed.
Wanted to pick someone's brain here and see if anyone has a direction I can go. I do know that it is the original clutch. But my only thoughts to that is that it isn't slipping?!
Could I be low on MTF? Checking tonight after work. Need a new Clutch? Tranny Shot? Insight would be awesome!!!
Thanks,
Justin

I gotta question/example, say your at a light, and you try to go into 1st, does it not allow you and you have to engage the clutch again to be able to put it into 1st???

No that is the odd thing. When there is no load on the car. It shifts smooth into every gear. Only when leaving a light for instance at times does it chatter. And then running up/down the gears is when it feels like it hits a wall and you wait for a split second and it goes in.
**Side note. Could be me, but at 3k is when it seems to go in and out better...?**

My buddy's EM1 did the same, it would not go all the way into 1st unless he let the clutch out, then it would go in, a simple change of MTF helped it out a lot, I would do that before thinking it was something bigger than what it is...

Cool. Yeah I figured a Tranny flush this weekend was my next step. Keep it simple first...
I was wondering if it would be a pressure plate problem? I had a ACT Stage II on my 95 Civic with a JRSC on it. I had 2 spines? on the pressure plate that got stuck... Odd I know, but once i took the tranny off they popped back to normal. But the clutch was friend. That made it almost IMPOSSIBLE to get the car to engage though
Think it could be something like that?
