1991 Civic HB Ignition switch problem... HELP!!!!
Hey, I need help... I just got a 1991 Civic HB and apparently the moron I bought the car from thought he was cool, put a push start button in the car and bypassed the whole foot on the clutch to start the car problem. I went through 2 ignition switches aready, on going a 3rd one. The ignition switch heats up real bad, starts burning up and smoking and the b*tch just burns. I got burnt a few times touching this stupid thing, it gets so hot it kills the ignition switch, when you crank it up and shut it off there's spark behind the switch. I thought i was my fuse box at first, but it wasn't. There's a 90% black 10% white wire from ignition connected to the same color behind the fuse box... When I chopped it, the car won't crank, when I connect it it starts up, and when I d/c it while running it stays on. It shuts off normal with or without connect. This was a very stupid thing that moron did, but can anyone help me out please? Ignition switches aren't cheap I'm not rich enough to go through one every 2 weeks. Please help. Thanks!
