**Need Help! Ignition Switch! **
**any help is much appreciated HT
(1998 Acura Integra OBD2)
so originally this thread was because my ignition switch was locked up and yes it was a re assembly error HOWEVER now theres a diff problem my car does not crank or turn over all i get is the fuel pump priming and one click after i turn the key i have to push start it to get it to work once i push start it the car turns on normally about 3 times then it goes back to the same problem of no cranking and such the previous owner had an alarm system on it so im not sure if i missed something to take off or if im doing something wrong? any help is appreciated.... these are the parts that have been replaced so far :
1. new starter
2.new plugs and wires
3.new ignition switch assembly
4. new battery

You sure it's clocked properly? That is, the switch went back into the housing exactly how it came out? Because it is easy to putbit back together and be out

Re: **Need Help! Ignition Switch! **
First thing I would do is confirm the problem is the ign. switch, unplug the switch harness, use a jumper to jump from white to black/white, you can even do it with the ign. switch still plugged in, if engine cranks, the problem is the switch, if not then you have another problem.
I would also do a bypass jump to check the starter motor...https://honda-tech.com/forums/tech-misc-15/simple-diy-start-circuit-test-%5Bbypass-jump%5D-2961164/ 94

Re: **Need Help! Ignition Switch! **
yea i got the starter checked out already nothing is wrong with it i recently bought that starter as well so its ok i will def try what you suggested and see if it cranks also when i removed the harness theres was a **** load of alarm wiring integrated into harness is it possible that there is still something under the dash messing with the switch preventing the car from turning on every time ? its really strange how it will turn on when it wants to and other times its dead thanks for your help so far btw
